46th Clifden Arts Festival

The ConTempo Quartet will perform the Connemara Premiere of ’Stolen Hearts’ by Bill Whelan along with Séamus Ó Flatharta (voice and whistle), Caoimhe Ní Fhlatharta (voice and fiddle) as part of the 46th Clifden Arts Festival on 21 September @ 1pm in Clifden’s Christchurch.

Deirdre Moynihan (soprano) will join ConTempo Quartet to perform ‘A State of Light’ by Bill Whelan based on the poem ‘Harvest Home’ by Michael Coady.  Bill will take to the stage to perform his song ‘Flying Blind’ and ‘Hymn To A Broken Marriage’, his music put to Paul Durcan’s poem.

Stolen Hearts was commissioned by Galway Music Residency to mark the organisation’s 20th Anniversary
