The Rhythm Of Ireland Concert

Bill Whelan’s latest concerto Gormglas was commissioned by WDR Funkhausorchester and will have its World Premiere in Cologne on 11th September 2026.  

Featuring Kenneth Edge on Soprano Saxophone, the WDR will be conducted by David Brophy.  The Rhythm of Ireland Concert brings some of Ireland’s leading musicians, Zoe Conway, Tara Howley, Seamus O Flatharta, Damien Mullane together on stage with dancers Colin Dunne & Yolanda González Sobrado.  The evening of Bill Whelan’s music will include, Inishlacken, Timedance and the Riverdance Symphonic Suite.
